Shorinji Kempo (pronounced: Shawrinjee Kempoh) is an all round martial art. It incorporates: punches, kicks and blocks and as you advance through grades: throws, twists and locks. There is also a short meditation to focus the mind, and a theoretical part to the class. The emphasis is on teamwork. For children (and some adults!), games are incorporated to make learning interesting.

It is a great way to keep fit and, especially for children, learn to be assertive and safe, as well as having fun too. Just wear something comfortable and easy to move in.
